Long-distance cycling was never a dream. In fact, there was never even the germ of a thought about getting on a bicycle to cross the continent. Death - my husband's - put these wheels in motion. Ten years after Holly and I cycled from the Pacific to the Atlantic, we continue to share incredible adventures, visiting the world from the seat of a bicycle. Welcome aboard The Underground Railroad. It's going to be an interesting journey. Judi a/k/a TheWanderingJu

One Month & One Day...

... That's how much longer until we head to Mobile, AL (via Atlanta, GA and Pensacola, FL) to begin our next adventure. While I am at home in Florida going through my gear, Holly is at home in Connecticut doing the same with her gear. Throw it all into a box, allow it to rest for a few weeks, then make choices - what to bring and what to leave behind. Since we are never going to be far from a store we plan to travel light - especially when it comes to clothing.

Attached is a photo taken during our ride along the Mississippi River - New Orleans to Lake Itasca, MN (Where the Mighty Mississippi begins as a trickle). A lot happening around here that keeps me from posting to the Blog - company arriving from England in ten days, my Dad's 90th birthday party in three weeks. But, May 1 is D-Day - Decision-Day. That's when it begins for real - the packing of suitcases and getting Elisabeth (my bike) ready to be shipped to Mobile.

Until then - thanks for your interest. We are happy to have you join us as we ride the trail of the Underground Railroad. Holly and Judi (a/k/a TheWanderingJu)
